OAT MACARONS

INGREDIENTS

1 ¼ cup flour for all uses (sifted)
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
3 cups Quaker oats
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
½ tsp. vanilla extract
¼ cup raisins or chopped nuts or dates

    RECIPE

    1. Stir flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl and then add Quaker oats
    2. Beat butter (or margarine) with sugar, eggs and vanilla until they are mixed well. Add the oat mix and the raisins/nuts.
    3. Place the mix in spoons on a greaseproof paper. Press with a fork, maintaining the round shape
    4. Bake in medium heat in the oven for 12 – 15 minutes. The dough is enough for 5 dozen of biscuits.
